About the role
As a Medicare Risk Adjustment Data Analyst at Optum, you will be an integral part of the OI Clinical Solutions - Decision intelligence team, focusing on developing and enhancing analytical applications related to Medicare risk adjustment. Your role will involve supporting existing applications like Coding Transformation Modernization, Attribution Analytics, Financial Risk Adjustment, and Management Engine. Your contributions will directly impact health outcomes by connecting individuals with the necessary care, pharmacy benefits, and resources for improved well-being. Key Responsibilities: - Gather and analyze business and/or functional requirements from one or more client business teams - Validate requirements with stakeholders and project team, offering suggestions aligned with industry best practices - Develop and deliver Best in-class Analytics for end users utilizing Big Data and Cloud platforms - Document, discuss, and resolve business, data, data processing, and BI/reporting issues within the team and across functional teams - Present data analysis findings verbally and in writing to project team and business stakeholders to support requirements gathering and issue resolution - Manage changing business priorities and scope while working on multiple projects concurrently - Demonstrate self-motivation and proactivity in a fast-paced environment - Ensure compliance with employment contract terms, company policies, procedures, and any directives Qualifications Required: - 3 years of solid work experience with Python, Spark, and HIVE, including developing Analytics at scale - 3 years of solid work experience in developing end-to-end Analytics pipeline on Cloud platforms - 3 years of solid work experience in SQL or associated languages - Ability to convert Business requirements into technical requirements and develop high-quality code according to Technical/Business requirements Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of Medicare risk adjustment programs - Familiarity with CMS datasets such as MMR/MOR/EDPS At UnitedHealth Group, the mission is to help individuals lead healthier lives and improve the health system for all.
