About the role
In this role, as a Freight Cost Analytics & Optimization specialist, you will be responsible for developing robust freight cost models, conducting variance analysis, and identifying key cost drivers to reduce freight costs and enhance efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing robust freight cost models, including per/KM cost analysis, across lanes, modes, & geographies. - Identifying key cost drivers and implementing initiatives to reduce freight costs and improve efficiency. - Conducting variance analysis, vendor benchmarking, and route optimization studies. - Supporting commercial and procurement teams with cost insights for negotiations. As part of Freight Governance & Compliance, you will be tasked with establishing and driving freight governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to transportation policies, and monitoring freight spend. Your responsibilities will include: - Establishing and driving freight governance frameworks across regions. - Ensuring adherence to defined transportation policies, rate cards, and contractual terms. - Monitoring and controlling freight spend with structured governance mechanisms. - Driving transparency, accountability, and standardization in logistics operations. You will also be responsible for SOP Development & Process Standardization, where you will create, implement, and optimize Standard Operating Procedures for logistics processes and ensure SOP adherence. Your duties will involve: - Creating, implementing and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes. - Ensuring SOP adherence across countries and stakeholders. - Standardizing logistics practices to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability. - Leading regular process audits and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, you will analyze and support logistics operations across multiple countries/regions, collaborate with regional teams to streamline transportation networks, and ensure optimization of cross-border logistics. Your tasks will include: - Analyzing and supporting logistics operations across multiple countries/regions. - Collaborating with regional teams to streamline transportation networks and processes. - Ensuring optimization of cross-border logistics with respect to cost, timelines, and service levels. As part of Efficiency & Continuous Improvement, you will drive process improvement initiatives, identify automation opportunities, and lead cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Driving process improvement initiatives focused on route optimization, load utilization, and turnaround times. - Identifying automation opportunities to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Leading cross-functional projects to improve supply chain performance. Furthermore, you will be responsible for Data Analytics & Reporting, where you will build and maintain dashboards, deliver actionable insights through deep-dive analysis, and improve data accuracy and reporting automation. Your tasks will involve: - Building and maintaining dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. - Delivering actionable insights through deep-dive analysis of logistics and transportation data. - Improving data accuracy, availability, and reporting automation. In your role, Stakeholder Management will be crucial, as you collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Regional Teams to drive logistics performance, influence decision-making, and support leadership with insights. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Regional Teams to drive logistics performance. - Influencing decision-making through data-backed recommendations and clear communication. - Supporting leadership with insights on cost trends and efficiency opportunities.
