About the role
Job Title: LIMS Consultant Location: Boston, MA (Onsite) Visa Requirement: H1B Visa Holders Only
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled LIMS Consultant with hands-on experience supporting laboratory information management systems in pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LabVantage or LabWare LIMS and a solid understanding of laboratory workflows and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT support for LIMS systems in a regulated laboratory environment
Configure LIMS systems, perform master data updates, and manage user access
Troubleshoot application issues and resolve system errors and support tickets
Document system processes, configurations, and resolution procedures clearly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, QA, and IT
Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, and related regulatory requirements
Support integration between LIMS, lab instruments, ELNs, and ERP systems
Follow ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management
Required Experience and Skills:
3–5 years of IT support experience with LIMS in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or lab setting
Strong experience with LabVantage LIMS (preferred) or LabWare LIMS
In-depth understanding of lab processes, sample handling, and analytical workflows
Familiarity with ITIL service management processes
Knowledge of system integration concepts and regulatory compliance
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams
