About the role
Role: R&D Tech Lab Analyst
Location: Virgilina, VA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract
Position Summary:
The R&D Tech Lab Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic success of the R&D facility. This position supports the technical infrastructure, business processes, and application environment critical to laboratory activities. The ideal candidate will provide on-site support and collaborate closely with R&D teams to maintain business continuity, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- R&D Lab PC Workstation Support
Build and manage lab PC images.
Oversee desktop security, patch management, and system updates.
Manage vulnerabilities, device drivers, user accounts, and system backups.
Handle data archival, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
- R&D Business Process Support
Coordinate vendor services (e.g., instrument calibration and compliance).
Maintain documentation for SOPs, change management, and service records.
Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
- R&D Application & Cybersecurity Support
Provide support for global and local R&D technology solutions.
Maintain configuration and ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols.
Troubleshoot issues related to R&D applications and minimize downtime.
- Deployment & Ongoing Support
Be available on-site during lab setup and equipment deployment phases.
Offer continuous technical support post-deployment to ensure operational stability.
Act as a liaison between local R&D users and global IT or support teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an R&D or regulated lab environment.

Strong knowledge of IT systems, security, and lab-related software.

Familiarity with compliance processes and lab instrumentation.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
