\nCollaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.\nDesign and maintain efficient and scalable data models that support analytical, operational, and reporting needs, using both relational and dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star and snowflake schemas).\nDevelop, document, and govern data definitions, data flows, metadata, and lineage to ensure consistency and traceability across enterprise systems.\nParticipate in the development and enforcement of data modeling standards, best practices, and naming conventions.\nWork with data engineers to ensure alignment of data models with ETL/ELT processes and ensure data is accurately and efficiently transformed and loaded into target systems.\nPerform data profiling, gap analysis, and quality assessments to validate assumptions and ensure accuracy of data models.\nSupport the design and integration of data from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources such as JSON, Avro, XML, and Parquet formats.\nCollaborate with data quality and governance teams to ensure models comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and enterprise data policies.\nOptimize data models to improve performance and reduce redundancy, balancing normalization and denormalization as required by the use case.\nUtilize modeling tools and platforms (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, SQL Mesh) to manage versioning, documentation, and publication of models.\nMaintain close collaboration with reporting and BI teams to ensure data models support business dashboards and analytics efficiently.\nParticipate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story development where data modeling requirements are discussed and prioritized.\n
