As a Lead Engineer - Mechanical at our company, you will play a crucial role in executing design engineering tasks for New Product Development (NPD), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and product improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing high-quality project outputs for customized orders, such as CAD models, detailed drawings, assemblies, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Change Orders. - Handling complex design projects independently from concept to production, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with project requirements. - Providing technical expertise in CAD (Creo), PLM tools, sheet metal domain, and Molded parts to ensure robust and optimized designs. - Supporting cross-functional collaboration across global teams by communicating technical requirements, risks, and progress effectively. - Participating in project reviews, addressing technical challenges, and contributing to design optimization. - Estimating and planning personal project deliverables to ensure timely execution while maintaining organizational quality and documentation standards. - Continuously improving design methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution. - Sharing knowledge with junior engineers and peers to provide technical guidance and help build team competency in CAD modeling and engineering best practices. - Taking ownership of assigned deliverables to ensure designs meet cost, quality, and schedule commitments. Qualifications Required for Team Lead: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in product design and development. - 7-10 years of hands-on experience with CAD tools, particularly Creo, with expertise in sheet metal design & Molded parts. - Proficiency in creating and managing large assemblies, complex 3D models, and detailed drawings. - Strong experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools; familiarity with Agile or PD Cloud is advantageous. - Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and design-for-manufacturability principles. - Preferably, prior exposure to telecom, electrical enclosures, or related fabrication-based product design. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical challenges independently. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and disciplined, with a drive for continuous learning and improvement. - Demonstrated leadership capabilities, inspiring and organizing the team to achieve project milestones and quality standards.
