About the role
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Network Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in network monitoring and support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cisco configurations, a solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals, and practical experience with FortiGate firewall configuration. This role is responsible for 24/7 network monitoring, incident management, and ensuring high availability of network services. Key Responsibilities: Monitor network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls) using NOC tools and dashboards Perform troubleshooting and incident resolution for network-related issues Configure and support Cisco routers and switches (basic to intermediate level) Manage and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, including policy configuration, NAT, and VPNs Support wireless network monitoring and basic configuration (APs, SSIDs, user connectivity issues) Handle ticketing systems, track incidents, and ensure timely resolution as per SLAs Maintain network documentation, incident reports, and shift handover notes Participate in change management activities and scheduled maintenance tasks Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (configuration and troubleshooting) Solid understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewall configuration (policies, NAT, VPN IPsec/SSL) Experience in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.) Working knowledge of routing protocols Understanding of wireless networking concepts and troubleshooting Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CCNA / CCNP and Fortinet NSE (preferred) Experience working in a 24/7 NOC environment Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Good communication and documentation abilities Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Ability to work in rotational shifts (24/7 support environment) Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Network Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in network monitoring and support.
