Remote Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

The Sr. Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for creating automated tests and maintaining regression test suites to ensure high-quality product releases.ResponsibilitiesCreate and execute automated product testing to meet project schedules as required. Collaborate with QA Automation engineers, including onshore and offshore resources. Coordinate team activities, identify individual tasks, and mentor team members on technical procedures and techniques. Create test strategies for automated testingMaintain regression suites and automation pipelines, ensuring clean runs, fast execution times, and minimal false positives. Work with the Scrum team to promptly address issues found during regression analysis. Accumulate statistical data and report trends to managementIn collaboration with QA Management, establish and evolve QA Automation processes, procedures, and tools following industry standards and best practices. Identify, recommend, and implement appropriate test strategies and test environments. Provide Automation subject matter expertise and technical leadership. Communicate automation progress to management with recommendationsDevelop a keen understanding of product functionality, customer needs, and product schedules to effectively translate into automated solutions. Respond rapidly to changing requirements and new projects by recommending and adjusting resourcesFoster a strong customer service mentality and work collaboratively with the QA team, software development teams, and internal customers to deliver high-quality servicesEstablish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with the development, product design, and support teamsStrive for high-quality product releases as measured by number of severity 1 defects found following release and customer satisfaction as measured by product surveysPerform additional duties as directed by managementSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in Software QAMinimum of 3 years of experience automating web-based applications using Selenium WebDriver, C#, and Page Object modelExperience working in an agile scrum environment involving multiple initiatives simultaneouslyExtensive experience with API testing (REST and SOAP services)Experience with API test automation using ReadyAPI or SoapUIExperience with Azure DevOps or equivalent Test Management Tool configuring Repos, builds, test pipelines, defect tracking, and user storiesExperience with SQL queries, MySQL and SQL Server preferredExperience with Behavior-driven development framework (Reqnroll preferred)Experience working with offshore and onshore teamsDemonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies in QA automation projects, with specific examples of achievements and improvements delivered through AI-assisted development, testing, or problem-solving in current or past projectsStrong experience and proven ability to take ownership of single or multiple project regression suites, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation pipelinesExperience with Salesforce QA environments, tools, and processesExperience with Workday or Tax softwareExperience with mocking tools (WireMock Cloud preferred)Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted coding environmentsCompany OverviewOneSource Virtual is a workday services partner in deployment, consulting, and BusinessProcess-as-a-Service (BPaaS) services.
