Role Overview We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer Virtual & Simulation Testing to spearhead the development of highfidelity virtual platforms that emulate realworld operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product engineers, manual QA teams, and internal stakeholdersincluding Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and moreto ensure that every new solution meets rigorous quality, reliability, and performance standards before it reaches the fulfillment floor. Key Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive simulation and HardwareIntheLoop (HIL) environments that use actual automation software to validate endtoend solutions. Validate product specifications for quality, functionality, reliability, maintenance, training, deployment, and integration with material handling equipment (MHE) through virtual testing. Establish and communicate quality standards and parameters across hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams. Coordinate simulation campaigns, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, release schedules, and crossfunctional testing plans. Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs, defects, and recurring issues across multiple product lines, recommending systematic solutions. Engage with internal customers (Operations, RME, ACES, Process Engineering, Ops Engineering, WW Design, etc.) to gather feedback, understand operational constraints, and incorporate realworld insights into virtual test scenarios. Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations, policies, and safety standards throughout the testing lifecycle. Support manual QA teams by providing validated virtual models, enabling rapid designofexperiment (DOE) studies and accelerating decisionmaking. Develop test automation within HIL environments using test executors and automation engines that interact with real automation software. Document and present simulation results, risk assessments, and quality metrics to senior leadership and crossfunctional partners. Essential Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience working with large, crossfunctional engineering teams on modeling, simulation, testing, integration, or quality assurance. Handson experience with fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation, and related automation hardware. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing initiatives. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a track record of diagnosing complex system interactions. Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time to business locations, project sites, and customer facilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, highspeed packaging technologies, robotics, and highthroughput manufacturing environments. Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to diverse audiences, including operations staff, senior engineers, and executive leadership. Project management expertise, with a history of initiating, planning, and delivering projects on schedule and within scope. Familiarity with DesignofExperiment (DOE) methodologies, statistical analysis tools, and datadriven decision frameworks. Knowledge of sustainability standards and ecofriendly packaging materials, aligning with arenaflexs commitment to environmental stewardship.
