About the role
Key Responsibilities Handle melting, pouring, casting, and heat treatment processes Perform metallurgical testing – chemical, mechanical & microstructure analysis Conduct failure analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA implementation Monitor spectrometer results, hardness testing, tensile testing (UTM) Analyse microstructure using metallurgical microscope Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / customer quality standards Drive process improvement, rejection reduction, and cost optimization Support New Product Development (NPD), PPAP, trial runs Maintain inspection reports, heat records, test certificates, documentation Coordinate with production, QA, R&D, and customer teams Key Skills Metallurgy, Foundry, Casting, Heat Treatment, Melting Process, Microstructure Analysis, Spectrometer, Hardness Testing, UTM, Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Metals, SG Iron, CI Casting, Alloy Steel, Quality Control, Process Improvement, Rejection Analysis, ISO, IATF 16949, PPAP, NPD, Automotive Components Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy / Materials Engineering Experience 3 to 5 Years in Foundry / Casting / Automotive Manufacturing (Salary - 5.0 LPA – 6.5 LPA) Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in automotive casting / machining components Strong analytical & problem-solving mindset Good knowledge of heat treatment & metallurgical testing Ability to handle customer quality requirements & audits
