Ab Initio Developer
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid – Mostly Remote, DMV Only) Duration: 12+ Months Contract

10+ years in data integration/data warehousing with 5+ years in Ab Initio ETL (ICFF), strong SQL/DB2 & data modeling, Hadoop (HDFS/Hive/Impala), Unix/Linux scripting, and solid ETL, OLTP/OLAP fundamentals.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Ab Initio Developer with strong experience in data integration and data warehousing. The role involves designing and building scalable ETL pipelines, working with big data platforms, and supporting enterprise data solutions in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Ab Initio ETL pipelines and data graphs
Build and maintain data integration solutions across multiple sources
Work with business teams to gather and translate data requirements
Perform data transformation and create consumable data layers
Support production systems, enhancements, and bug fixes
Document technical designs and operational processes
Required Skills
10+ years of IT experience in data integration / data warehousing
5+ years of Ab Initio ETL development (including ICFF)
Strong experience with SQL, DB2, and data modeling
Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala)
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting
Knowledge of ETL concepts, OLTP/OLAP, and data warehouse fundamentals
Preferred Skills
Experience with AWS services
Knowledge of NoSQL/MongoDB
Exposure to Ab Initio CDC
Basic Java knowledge
