API Developer (FHIR experience required)

API Developer position we initially had at the beginning of December is now back open. This is a 6+ month contract role for a Blues plan we are supporting.

This position REQUIRES candidates to have FHIR experience. Very important that the JSON messaging links up with FHIR.

This position requires health plan experience. Candidates that have worked for a blues plan recently will be given highest consideration.

This is primarily remote, however will be asked to travel to Kansas City once per month (probably for 2-3 days when asked to travel). Expenses for travel will be reimbursed.

Title: API Developer (FHIR experience required)

Location: 75% Remote

Travel: 25% travel required

Duration: 6+ months

Interview Process: 1 Video prep call & then client video interview

REQUIRED to complete a video prep call with SSG VP prior to client video interview. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Client video interview. Will be roughly 45 minutes in duration.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

API Development experience

MINIMUM 7+ YEARS of Health plan experience (those who have recently worked at a BLUES plan will receive highest consideration and is preferred, though not required)

MUST have FHIR experience. Very important that the JSON messaging links up with FHIR.

Technical Knowledge/Experience

Expert level understanding of Microsoft Azure technology stack, especially Azure Healthcare Services

Microsoft Visual Studio, .net, Azure APIM Services, Azure SQL

HL7 / Davinci experience, experience with JSON messaging and REST based API development, and JSON message parsing/formatting.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop the API's, Pulling over the data from their Symplr system and put into the client's environment.

The ability to write clear, readable, and testable code that is concise and well-documented and conforms to industry standards and best practices.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure API functionality aligns with business goals and provide clear documentation for API Users.

Proficient in the programming languages such as C#, JAVA, Python, .NET, should have FACETS knowledge as well.

Ability to lead a cross-functional team of developers in design, documentation, and development activities

Experience in leading / participating in a SCRUM development team, project team or other delivery/development team

Experience delivering successful Blue Provider Data (BPD) solution, in a technical lead role

Skilled with Database Management systems, including:

Relational Databases: Microsoft Azure Suite; SQL Server/Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL

NoSQL Databases : Conversant with modern, web friendly, fast, NoSQL databases
