About the role
Application Systems Developer
Location: Columbia, SC
Onsite Requirement:
Must be onsite for interview

Credit Check: Must be processed during pre-screens
CMS Security Clearance / Residency Requirement:
Candidates must meet residency requirements (lived in the U.S. for three out of the past five years) per background screening guidelines
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Sponsorship: NO Green card EAD, GC or USC
Java full-stack development with Spring Boot/MVC, Hibernate/JPA, JSP, JavaScript/jQuery, REST/SOAP web services, GitHub, and Agile-based production support & troubleshooting.

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
1-hour lunch

Occasional off-hours and weekend work
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree
Minimum Required Work Experience
8 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Operate in an Agile Scrum environment with standard Agile ceremonies
Attend daily stand-ups and other Agile meetings
Collaborate with the team on production issues, action items, and priorities
Implement action requests including enhancements and configuration changes
Analyze front-end and back-end code
Work with Spring MVC, JSP, jQuery, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate
Monitor logs, diagnose issues, and deploy fixes using Jenkins, Git, and Splunk
Identify root causes and implement effective full-stack solutions
Document findings
Collaborate with QA and DevOps

eServices Portal group with three Scrum development teams
Approximately 6 team members per team
Working on Spring upgrades and user-facing enhancements
