Job Title: AWS Bedrock Engineer

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Knoxville, TN

Job description:

Your Impact

• Design, build, and optimize generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock and other AWS AI/ML services.

• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to integrate LLMs and foundation models into enterprise applications.

• Develop scalable APIs and pipelines for AI model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and cost optimization standards in cloud-native environments.

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into end-to-end AI solutions, focusing on performance, usability, and scalability.

• Research and evaluate emerging foundation models (Anthropic Claude, Cohere, AI21, Stability, etc.) available through Bedrock to recommend best-fit options.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud AI/ML ecosystem: AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions), Azure (OpenAI, Cognitive Services, ML Studio) or GCP (Vertex AI)

• Proficiency in Python for model integration and API development.

• Practical experience working with LLMs and familiarity with some of the following:

Embeddings, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), Frameworks like LangChain or similar

• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production or piloting generative AI applications in cloud or hybrid environments.

• Understanding of MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD for ML) and willingness to apply them in GenAI contexts.

• Awareness of security, governance, and compliance considerations in cloud-based AI systems.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Prior experience delivering enterprise-level generative AI projects using AWS Bedrock.

• Knowledge of multi-cloud AI/ML services (Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI, Hugging Face Hub).

• Contributions to open-source AI frameworks or published work on generative AI.

• Expertise in cost optimization and performance tuning for large-scale AI applications in AWS.
