We have a new opening with one of our top clients for a Senior AWS Software Engineer , and we're looking for strong candidates with modern AWS development experience and excellent communication skills.

What We're Looking For

This is a senior-level engineering position, so the hiring leader is looking for someone with strong software engineering fundamentals who can take ownership, collaborate effectively across multiple teams, and help drive technical initiatives forward. Candidates should be comfortable speaking up in meetings, asking thoughtful questions, and working independently without needing constant direction.

6+ years of professional software engineering experience

AI Experience is Important

One area the hiring leader emphasized is AI adoption. The team is actively integrating AI into their engineering practices and currently leverages GitHub Copilot and Claude Code . They're looking for candidates who are already using AI-assisted development tools as part of their day-to-day workflow—not simply engineers who have general knowledge of AI.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using TypeScript and AWS services

Build scalable event-driven cloud solutions

Develop Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK

Implement secure, highly available cloud architectures

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors

Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning

Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance

Create technical documentation and mentor other engineers on AWS best practices

What Will Make Someone Stand Out

Strong AWS engineering experience with modern serverless architectures

Deep experience building REST APIs using AWS Lambda

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Solution architecture experience

AWS certifications (especially Solution Architect)

Engineers who actively use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code in their daily development work
