A CI Automation Engineer designs, implements, and maintains automated processes for continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software development and deployment.

Job Summary:
The CI Automation Engineer position is a hands-on technical role. The CI Automation Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and integrating automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the ITS organization as well as streamlining the customer service request process through fulfillment.
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience working with automation, web development, or similar

Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

10+ years of experience with networking or systems administration
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group, leadership, and executive presentations.

Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of automation technology infrastructure and single source of truth databases

Extensive experience in developing monitoring and reporting systems

Deep hands-on experience in developing and writing automation scripts and integrations for configuration, monitoring, and reporting

24/7 business continuity:
This role requires occasional availability outside of traditional working hours to address urgent business needs as they arise, including, but not limited to, responding to security incidents, supporting software deployments, resolving software issues or system breaks, and addressing other critical operational requirements. The ideal candidate must be proactive and adaptable, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations by promptly addressing any issues, regardless of time or day. Flexibility and a strong sense of urgency are essential for success in this position.

Hybrid work schedule:
This role is hybrid and in the office three days a week to facilitate collaboration and teamwork. Develop/deploy an automation platform and a library of scalable automation scripts that can be leveraged by Communications Infrastructure team to enhance efficiency of configuration, operation, monitoring and reporting of network infrastructure and systems
Document monitoring and reporting requirements
20% of the time:
Solicit input and requirements from ITS as well as customers to identify opportunities for automation
Prioritize and document efforts-based return of investment metrics
Communicate and socialize framework, design, planning, and progress to affected parties
