About the role
This position is primarily a replacement for my Configuration Manager (CM) / build pipeline SME. As such candidates will require skills such as:
Jenkins (or similar) CI setup & maintenance
Bash & Python scripting
Makefile setup
Git version management
Docker setup / maintenance
Nice to have: Azure / AWS cloud
These skills are the priority.
Beyond this, the ideal candidate will also have some background in my more traditional embedded software development work. If backlog allows, they may do some traditional development. Such candidates may have skills such as:
Real world real-time embedded device driver experience.
Experience designing embedded electronics controls, display, or telematics software, including development of device drivers, SPI/I2C peripheral interfacing, hardware diagnostics, operating system configurations, non-volatile memory interfacing, board initialization, and other chip-level interfacing.
Experience troubleshooting/debugging using tools such as oscilloscopes
