DeltaV Engineer (software and hardware experience needed)

Location: Deadhorse, AK (client paying for all travel for the project including flights, food, lodging)

Duration: 3 months

Pay: Pretty open and flexible so just get what they need for this to make sense given the location, timeframe, schedule, etc. If someone is interested, I think the rate will be able to work

Interview: This is one video interview and done

DeltaV PAS Engineer (Sequences or Complex Logic)

The PAS Engineer provides on‑slope/on‑site support for process automation systems, leading day‑to‑day testing and commissioning from the DCS board while coordinating progress and schedule with customer stakeholders. This self‑starter plans, manages, and executes work independently across DeltaV configuration and maintenance tasks, including sequences, equipment modules, alarms & events, historian integration, live graphics (GEMs), system downloads/uploads, hardware familiarity, and complex loop design/configuration. The role also leads loop checks and troubleshooting to quickly resolve configuration issues and ensure system integrity.

DeltaV SIS Engineer

The SIS Engineer delivers on‑slope/on‑site support for safety instrumented systems, acting as a self‑directed lead for SIS loop checks, functional testing from the DCS board, and progress coordination with customer and HSE teams. This position requires effective collaboration with instrument technicians, hands‑on expertise across DeltaV SIS configuration, SIS hardware, DeltaV Live SIS graphics (including GEM troubleshooting), and diagnosing/resolving SIS loop issues to maintain the required safety performance and compliance.

Must‑have skills and experience

Senior‑level DeltaV commissioning capability; able to work independently onsite without hand‑holding and make configuration changes during testing/commissioning.

PAS engineers: Day‑to‑day testing and commissioning from the DCS board; DeltaV configuration (sequences, equipment modules, alarms and events), historian integration, DeltaV Live graphics (GEMs), downloads/uploads, hardware familiarity, loop design/configuration, and troubleshooting.

SIS engineers: Self‑directed SIS loop checks and functional testing from the DCS board; hands‑on DeltaV SIS configuration and hardware; DeltaV Live SIS graphics/GEM troubleshooting; collaboration with instrument techs and HSE.

Important risk note: mid‑level or junior talent increases the risk of costly errors in this environment.

Work pattern and logistics

Rotation schedule: 14 days onsite, 14 days offsite; 12‑hour shifts (6 AM–6 PM) for all 14 onsite days. Travel days are separate, and travel time is compensated.

Travel: Flights into Anchorage with onward transport arranged by the client.

Accommodations: North Slope work camps. Food is good and amenities are available, but conditions should be considered industrial rather than hotel‑like.
