DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Google Cloud Architect with deep expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, Python, API integration, SQL, and Oracle.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record of designing and implementing cloud-native data architectures that integrate SAP systems with modern analytics and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, integrating SAP BW/4HANA systems.

Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines and cloud-native applications.

Develop and maintain Python-based automation for data processing, integration, and orchestration.

Architect and optimize data models, ETL workflows, and data lake solutions.

Integrate SAP BW with external systems using RESTful APIs, ODATA, and other protocols.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to define cloud strategy and data governance frameworks.

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards across cloud and SAP environments.

Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership across cloud and SAP initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

8+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

Extensive experience with SAP BW/4HANA, including data modeling, performance tuning, and integration.

Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data engineering.

Solid experience with SQL and Oracle database technologies.

Proven expertise in API integration (REST, SOAP, ODATA).

Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and cloud-native architectures.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills:

GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer).

Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or other BI platforms. Thoughtspot, Microstrategy, PowerBi.

Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
