About the role
Title: Equities Front Office Developer
*Local to NYC
*interview will be f-f for final round (after 2-3 video rounds, will likely have a coding test)
Description:
Key skills: Java, Equities Financing, Swaps, Nuvo Prime and /or SwapOne, some sort of AI platform like DL4J is a big plus, Murex is also a plus
Really need more of a front office type of person (i.e., working with traders)
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in Java in Equities development space.
In-depth knowledge of equities, equity derivatives, and trading workflows (including FIX protocol)
Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Order/Stock Loan/Market Data Systems)
Direct collaboration with trading desks, quants, and risk teams
Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks
Experience in development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or related field
5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services
Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
Proficiency with Git and Agile development
Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills
Good to Have
Experience with AI/ML
Experience and familiarity with Log observability tools such as Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack.
Familiarity with pricing models, quantitative analysis, and P&L calculations.
Experience with leading industry platforms, including Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River Trader, Nuvoprime, and Murex.
Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Equities trading space is plus.
