About the role
Position Overview
Looking for an experienced IT Reporting Specialist to support the development of analytic dashboards and contribute to production using .NET applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cognos, Tableau, and Informatica , with a proven ability to manage reporting systems and support financial data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the system's health and ensure successful completion of nightly jobs.
Provide daily support for reporting systems, including help desk tickets and end-user assistance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for dashboards and reports.
Design, maintain, and enhance analytic dashboards as needed.
Support all .NET-based applications involved in the budget book process.
Deliver ad-hoc reports and data analysis as requested.
Design, optimize, and troubleshoot dashboards, cubes, and reports.
Develop and maintain Informatica ETL scripts.
Manage and support internal and external OCIO reporting websites.
Assist with new system implementations, particularly those involving Cognos and Tableau.
Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements to maintain system performance and reliability.
Work with relevant teams to resolve issues and improve user satisfaction, escalating concerns when necessary.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in enterprise data warehouse modeling.
10+ years of hands-on experience with Cognos 11.7 .
10+ years working with Cognos BI applications , including Framework Manager.
5+ years of experience with Tableau 10 (desktop certified and server professional).
5+ years as a Tableau developer and administrator .
10+ years of experience in public sector financial systems .
10+ years of experience with Informatica 10 .
10+ years of experience with .NET/ASP and Visual Basic .
