We are seeking a Java Developer with experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of scalable applications and services.

This can be remote but need CST or EST. If in Kansas City, even better but just need a strong candidate. Would love about 10 years of experience. They do paired (or peer programming) so they need to be ok with that environment.

Role Purpose

This is a backend role. Not front-end on this role.

Backfill position to support senior developers currently focused on 2 major roadmap projects.

Daily support responsibilities include:

Security applications

Billing applications

Affinity applications

External applications

Technical Environment & Requirements

Languages & Frameworks :

Java (Legacy 1.5 / 1.8, standard Java)

Kotlin

To more modern Java code

Spring Framework

JDBC, JPA

APIs :

REST APIs

Shared libraries (legacy and modern)

Infrastructure :

AWS cloud environment – like to have

Kubernetes (for containerization) – like to have

GitLab (CI/CD pipelines preferred) – like to have

Databases:

Oracle SQL

Additional Skills & Preferences

AI knowledge related to coding tools or coding assistance

Strong communication skills and team engagement

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies:

Agile team with ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, planning)

Strong emphasis on team collaboration and pair programming

Supportive culture with senior devs mentoring others

Developers also assist QA engineers with pipeline automation
