About the role
Lead Solutions Architect
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite) local only Contract to Hire (Conversion after 2 months)
GC, USC
Lead Solutions Architect with strong experience in cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), enterprise architecture, system integration, microservices/API design, and technical leadership in large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with business goals
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and define system requirements
Define architecture standards, design patterns, and integration strategies
Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability of systems
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools/platform enhancements
Oversee solution implementation and ensure adherence to best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as a Solution Architect / Lead Architect
Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks and design best practices
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with enterprise system integration and distributed architectures
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience working in large enterprise environments
Familiarity with microservices architecture and API-driven design
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Strong documentation and architecture governance experience
