MLOps Engineer

Job Title: MLOps Engineer

Location: Woodlawn, MD (supporting a federal client) local only with state exp

Any Visa no H1

Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate machine learning models into production systems

• Build and maintain automated ML pipelines (data ingestion, preprocessing, training, validation, deployment)

• Manage cloud infrastructure for ML workloads (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for model performance

• Automate ML workflows to improve efficiency and reproducibility

• Optimize performance and scalability of ML models and infrastructure

• Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (Master's/PhD may substitute for experience)

• 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years designing and maintaining ML workflows and data pipelines

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

• Advanced Python skills and libraries (NumPy, Pandas, etc.)

• Experience with AWS ML services (e.g., SageMaker), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes

• Knowledge of data engineering tools (Spark, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with federal or state government IT projects

• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs)

• Knowledge of Java or Scala

• Demonstrated passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies
