Profile Developer

A Profile Developer within our Retail Bank Technology requires the design coding and testing of software projects with a special focus on the underlying architecture of systems and integration between them.

Duties include development in one or more of the following technologies:

Mumps Profile Scripting Language PSL SQL.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Development Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements.

• Work with the Development Team Leader to help manage tasks and stories.

• Provide team leadership and proactively seek out areas for improvement.

• Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements.

• Design Develop test Projects using existing design standards and within accepted defect rate based on specification documents.

• Help gather and provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.

• Properly track issues and resolutions in relation to the development effort using JIRA.

• Ensure that all code retains logical stability reliability confidentiality and integrity of Capital One systems in accordance with Capital One policies procedures and guidelines.

• Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing on Profile application MUMPS and PSL

• At last 5 years of professional experience developing banking software such as financial products and financial reporting features

• 3 years working in an Agile Environment

• At least 2 years of professional experience with multi-tier system design and implementation

• Scripting language experience Shell Scripts Awk Knowledge of cloud engineering topics.

• Good working knowledge of banking concepts

• Must have experience w/ banking financial services not healthcare

• Working on bank modernization and Discover integration
