Losing a Senior person in that area – he needs to replace that knowledge

Part of Rx Data & Products team within the Enterprise Data Services and Operations department, the Senior Data Engineer, will:

Must Have

Design, develop and deploy highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient data products

Create architecture specifications, develop software consistent with established Software development principles

Create data architecture / database models, leverage database optimization features to meet data storage and access requirements

Promote reusability and automation using configurable frameworks

Embed information and interface security across all facets of application architecture / design & development

Partner with shared services teams to drive product upgrades, system maintenance and other infrastructure activities

Required Qualifications :

10+ years of overall software development / engineering experience

5+ years of hands-on experience implementing transactional/ operational and data warehouse applications

5+ years of database design & development experience involving Oracle , or similar relational database technology

3+ years of experience with developing UNIX/LINUX based scripts

Experience with designing and implementing a real time data streaming solution , either using Oracle Golden Gate or Kafka

Preferred

Experience developing on cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS

Experience working with BLOB data such as images

Experience in designing highly available, active-active applications is a plus

Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus
