PHP Developer

Job Description: *PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL BE ON A HYBRID REMOTE SCHEDULE, HOWEVER WITH A GREATER EMPHASIS TO BE ONSITE.

JOB SUMMARY:

Work with current developers and business partners to preform requirements gathering, plan and execute a migration of ColdFusion applications to a new AWS hosted platform running PHP/Python. Implementation and testing of security patches and vulnerability remediations and incident response when necessary. Provide documentation and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups.

CRITICAL KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in team-development of data-driven Web Applications utilizing PHP/Python.

• Ability to develop high-quality code, expert at solving complex problems, and advise on design issues.

• Experience in investigating, analyzing, designing, developing, and evaluating procedures and requirements for enterprise's IT systems.

• Knowledge and understanding Redhat Linux Operating Systems as well as Oracle Databases from the perspective of application support. Ability to write bash scripts to automate tasks in Linux.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• PHP

• Python

• SQL (Structured Query Language), PL/SQL

• Linux scripting in bash

• Git

RELATED SKILLS NEEDED:

• Experience working with network administrators, server administrators, and security / firewall administrators to troubleshoot application issues.

• Knowledge of web application security considerations

• Experience working in a high security environment housing sensitive data.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience and knowledge of working with PCI regulations.

• Knowledge of ColdFusion

• Experience with JIRA and working in either KANBAN or SCRUM teams

• Experience with Financial Application Development and/or Payment Processing

• Experience deploying applications in AWS
