Duties/Day to Day Overview

Updating SaltStack configurations to allow volume provisioning independently from bare metal machines, so that volumes persist even when BMs are replaced.

Diagnosing and resolving errors in Gerrit , including writing tools that interact with Gerrit APIs to detect and automate the identification of issues.

Orchestrating infrastructure , specifically how machines are pulled in and out of service, in a way that is conceptually similar to Kubernetes .

Writing code in Python , Bash , and Salt .

Troubleshooting issues in production environments .

Understanding the inner workings of Git services , including how they store data and manage source control at a deeper technical level.

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

A very important factor Nutanix is a BIG on-prem environment so that experience is a MUST HAVE. They are cloud agnostic but slight preference for AWS.

Coding skills are essential. Candidates must have strong experience in Python, SaltStack, and Ansible.

Must have min Mid-Level 1-3 years of true hands on experience

Hand on experience with Python/Bash /Puppet

Experience with provisioning tools such as SaltStack (highly preferred) or Terraform or Ansible, Puppet.

Understanding of load balancing, caching, and clustering technologies

Strong grasp of consistency, resilience, and the CAP Theorem – this person must be highly technical
