Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for controlling machines, robotics, and automation tools.

• Lead the architecture and implementation of device drivers for various hardware components, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and system architects to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of embedded software to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality and reliable operation.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in embedded systems development, robotics, and automation.

• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other team activities to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and user manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• Extensive experience (10-15 years) in embedded software development, with a focus on device drivers, preferably in the field of robotics or automation.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.

• Deep understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded Linux, and other embedded software development environments.

• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex embedded systems, including device drivers, communication protocols, and control algorithms.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to debugging and troubleshooting.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
