Title: Salesforce Specialist
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Salesforce DevOps Specialist to join our client on a critical 6+ month engagement. You will be entrusted with taking full ownership of their existing Salesforce CI/CD pipeline and release management processes. Your mission will be to assess, optimise, and enhance these processes to improve deployment reliability, velocity, and overall developer experience.
This is a hands on, specialist contract where you will have the autonomy to diagnose challenges, recommend best practices, and implement robust solutions. If you are passionate about streamlining Salesforce releases and building elegant, automated DevOps pipelines, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Take complete ownership of the existing Salesforce CI/CD and release management lifecycle.
Conduct a thorough assessment of current processes, tooling, and pain points.
Design and implement improvements to increase deployment frequency, success rates, and rollback capabilities.
Automate manual processes for builds, testing, and deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
Establish and enforce robust branching strategies (GitFlow) and version control best practices in Git.
Implement and manage environment management strategies, including sandbox seeding and data masking where appropriate.
Collaborate closely with Salesforce Developers, Administrators, and stakeholders to ensure smooth, conflict-free releases.
Create clear documentation for the CI/CD processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Recommend and potentially integrate complementary tools for static code analysis, security scanning, and compliance.
Desirable Experience (Useful but Not Essential)
Hands-on experience with dedicated Salesforce DevOps platforms such as Copado or Gearset .
Experience with Salesforce CLI and scripting automation.
Knowledge of testing automation frameworks for Salesforce.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
