Title: Senior Application Engineer/Developer

Description:
We are seeking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join technology team as senior application engineer/developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting and enhancing applications in a financial institution environment, with expertise in Perl, MSSQL, and Java. The role involves supporting existing platforms, while actively contributing to investment and strategic projects that aim to modernize and align technology with future-state architecture.
Key Responsibilities :
Actively participate in strategic transformation projects, contributing to the re-engineering and migration of legacy systems to target-state architecture.
Support and maintain existing applications built with Python, Perl, MSSQL, and Java. Ensuring high availability and performance for critical processes.
Implement enhancements and modernization initiatives that improve stability, scalability and alignment with business goals.
Work closely with cross-function teams to understand. Current workflows and define solutions for improved efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in application development and/or support with financial institution
Proficient in Perl, Python scripting with practical knowledge of Java for backend services or tooling.
Strong experience working with MSSQL including advanced SQL and performance tuning.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Exposure to cloud platforms and devops practices (CI/CD, version control, automation)
Familiarity with job scheduling and monitoring tools.
Agile delivery experience in large-scale transformation or migration programs.
