We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) to join our high-performing team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you'll design and develop scalable, high-performance APIs and backend services that power our search and booking experience. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, fast, and secure systems that serve millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems using Node.js .

Work with PostgreSQL , Redis , and modern cloud infrastructure to deliver high-performance solutions.

Optimize SQL queries and backend performance for large-scale applications.

Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Architect scalable, resilient, and secure backend systems for growth and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of backend development experience, with strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript .

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL , Redis , and performance tuning.

Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Strong understanding of API design principles , authentication, and security best practices.

Experience working in startup or high-growth environments preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience with microservices architecture or event-driven systems .

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Docker, or Kubernetes.

Exposure to GraphQL or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
