Senior Python Developer (AWS | Data Modernization | API Integration)
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to lead the modernization of legacy SQL-based data processing into scalable, cloud-native solutions. This role will focus on converting complex SQL stored procedures into Python, redesigning data pipelines to consume and process data from SaaS APIs, and building an AWS-native architecture that supports scalable API services and efficient data storage
Key Responsibilities
Lead the conversion of complex SQL stored procedures into clean, efficient, and maintainable Python applications.
Design and develop backend data processing solutions that consume, transform, and manage data from SaaS APIs.
Architect scalable data storage solutions to support modern API-driven applications and optimize data access patterns.
Build and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services including S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, and EKS.
Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, DBAs, and business stakeholders to deliver project milestones.
Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and support all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Document system architecture, workflows, and technical best practices while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms to accelerate software development, code modernization, debugging, testing, and documentation while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
