Backend engineering (Node.js, GraphQL), AWS cloud (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), microservices architecture, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, financial/cards domain experience, and strong system design & problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python .

• Build and enhance GraphQL and RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.

• Participate in system design discussions and help implement efficient technical solutions.

• Support development and maintenance of data pipelines and distributed systems .

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, architecture, and QA.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities.

• Assist in improving CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes .

• Help monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in backend development.

• Strong hands-on experience with:

• Node.js

• TypeScript / JavaScript

• Python

• Experience building and consuming GraphQL and REST APIs .

• Good understanding of microservices and distributed system architecture .

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and data modeling .

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) .

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases .

• Understanding of system performance, scalability, and reliability concepts.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Preferred

• Experience in financial services or Cards domain .

• Exposure to event-driven architecture .

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

• Passion for learning new technologies and mentoring team members.
