About the role
SFCC Architect (techno-functional)
6-12 months
Remote (must be in PST)
Client is a furniture company w/ a single implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud under SiteGenesis storefront
It's a 5 year old implementation with a lot of customizations
Some of the customizations are unnecessary / implemented poorly so rearchitecting is a need
This includes logic built into the frontend of the e-Comm site
Cart / checkout build is 'brittle' and is a focus area for improvement / optimization
Lots of jr. dev resources w/ in-house IT so want to bring in seasoned people to be 'player-coach'
Tech stack (in addition to SFCC):
Front-end framework: svelteKit
CMS: hyGraph
QA / testing: optimizely
Ideally they are looking for strong technical people able to be effective with frontend customizations on SFCC.
Sort of a unicorn, so in practice we might need to find folks with a complementary set of capabilities across both domains.
We're expecting to schedule another follow up to dig in to more detail with them in short order.
Must have: Stellar communication skills, ability to work with stakeholders, mentor-coach, ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently but also within teams.
