Software Architect – Hybrid Location: Plano, TX, US (Hybrid, On-site as needed) Contract Type: Long-term Contract (C2C )

Strong experience in software architecture for secure data platforms, cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP), data governance and metadata management, and compliance with frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, and SOC2.
Role Summary
The Software Architect will be responsible for leading architecture design for data platforms, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing cloud-native security practices. The role requires hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, data governance, and information security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement software architecture solutions for data platforms with a focus on security and compliance.
Ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, USGCI, or similar.
Provide guidance on cloud-native security tools and best practices across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Lead data governance initiatives, including metadata management and data lineage tracking.
Align architecture practices with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software architecture, particularly for data platforms and security-focused solutions.
Proven experience in designing solutions compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, USGCI, or similar regulations.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of cloud-native security tools and best practices.
Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CIPP, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect) are a plus.
