Software Engineer – Mid Level

Duration : 36 Months

Location : Des Moines, Iowa – Open to fully remote candidates for the right fit

Role Overview

This role supports the enterprise job scheduling platform (platform support, not systems administration) and will be embedded in a large, high-visibility initiative. Success in this role requires a proactive, self-starting engineer who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:

•Support and enhance an enterprise job scheduling platform

•Work with GOAnywhere for managed file transfer (experience is a plus, not required)

•Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors in an enterprise setting

•Apply Infrastructure as Code practices

•Support DevOps initiatives with limited greenfield development (minimal coding from scratch)

•Collaborate closely with offshore teams, including India-based teams (early mornings starting around 7:00 AM CST)

Technical Environment:

•Python

•DevOps tooling and practices

•Infrastructure as Code

•AWS (highly preferred)

•Ansible

•CloudWatch

•File transfer technologies (nice to have)

Team Structure:

•3 Full-Time Employees

•2 Contractors

•Offshore partner team of approximately 5–6 resources

Location & Work Arrangement:

•Preference for candidates located in Des Moines with onsite presence

•Open to remote candidates for the right fit

Mid-level software engineering experience supporting enterprise platforms with Python, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, AWS (preferred), automation/tools like Ansible and CloudWatch, strong collaboration skills, and comfort working in large, fast-paced enterprise environments with offshore teams.
