Solutions Engineer DevOps Specialist

Loaction : Chandler, AZ.

Client is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer DevOps Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers and identify their needs

• Work with various departments from network engineers, support and operations to ensure a plan is in motion to improve the customer's experience

• Work to balance various aspects of the project, from safety to design

• Research advanced technology regarding best practices in the field and seek to find cost-effective solutions

• Work alongside other professionals to meet customer's needs

• Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly

• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved

• Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team

• Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration

• Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve

• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience

• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives

• Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related engineering field

• Minimum 7-10 years of hands on experience in the relevant areas, particularly in the Financial domains

• 5 years of hands on Job Skills

• A firm holistic understanding of both the operational and scope aspects of projects

• DevOps Specialist

• Database/Network/Server admin

• VMWARE ESX

• Hands on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations; testing INFRA modules created using Terraform

• Hands on DEVOPS and CLOUDOPS with provisioning and Config management technologies

• Experience gathering configurations from existing infrastructure (Servers, Firewall, Load Balancer, Application Middleware (Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.), and Storage)

• Hands on expertise in Ansible Playbook and XLR

• Hands on expertise on Windows and RHEL Operating Systems as SysAdmin

• Excellent and pleasant communication skills to work with Executives and Senior Leaders

• Competitive Windows SysAdmin and IIS Admin Skills

• Knowledge to manage data on the RDBMS' (includes data analytics)

• Power Shell scripting

• Able to plan, design, create programs, and document through AGILE framework

• Application Container knowledge (.NET/IIS)

• Able to design and develop application and architectural solutions for complex technology problems using available and emerging technologies

• Experience managing changes, defects, and projects across various testing and PROD environments

• Self-driven, generalist, innovative, result-oriented, motivating, leadership, and project management skills

• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure

• Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures

• Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture

• Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes

• Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems

• Professional work experience in analyzing computer hardware and software

• Able to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan

• Hands on and know how to code

• Deep understanding of software, networking, firewall, (code, build, debug, fix, decode)

• Ansible, Terraform hands on coding experience with bitbucket

• Server provisioning Physical (SWAGGER APIs), Virtual (VMWARE), and Cloud (Terraform based)

• Knowledge on UNIX, Windows SA skills, networking (firewall/load balancing), and storage

• Desired skills:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

• Project development and leadership skills

• JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX and Windows

• Automation on Windows automation (Power Shell, Bladelogic, etc.)

• DEVOPS (Environment Management and Application Releases on Windows)
