About the role

As a Network Engineer specialized in routing and switching, your primary responsibilities will include: - Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. - Implementing and supporting routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing. - Configuring and maintaining Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches. - Monitoring network performance and ensuring high availability of network services. - Troubleshooting network connectivity, latency, and performance issues. - Performing network upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements. - Configuring VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP, VRRP, and other switching technologies. - Managing network devices including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points. - Maintaining network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. - Collaborating with security, server, and cloud teams to support business requirements. - Participating in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. - Ensuring compliance with organizational security and networking standards. Your qualifications should include: - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and network fundamentals. - Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches. - Expertise in routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. - Experience with switching technologies: STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP, EtherChannel. - Knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN. - Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.). - Understanding of firewall concepts and network security. - Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and packet analysis.
