Network Engineer (routing and switching) Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Indore Contract Key Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. Implement and support routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing. Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches. Monitor network performance and ensure high availability of network services. Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and performance issues. Perform network upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements. Configure VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP, VRRP, and other switching technologies. Manage network devices including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. Collaborate with security, server, and cloud teams to support business requirements. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. Ensure compliance with organizational security and networking standards. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and network fundamentals. Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches. Expertise in routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. Experience with switching technologies: STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP, EtherChannel. Knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.). Understanding of firewall concepts and network security. Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and packet analysis.
