Job Purpose:
Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Also focus on optimizing utility costs to maintain a balance between reliable supply and cost-effectiveness.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
Preventive Maintenance
· Execute the preventive maintenance activities of CNC/VMC/SPM/Utility/Assy. lines as per PM Plan.
· Release the PM schedule @month starting and to co-ordinate with prod. team to release the machines as per plan.
· Update the PM records in PM Check-sheet and machine history cards as per SOP.
· Arrange the critical spares before PM start to get effective PM.
· Ensure improved MTBF
Breakdown Maintenance
· Attend the breakdowns and to ensure hand-over the equipment after restoration at shortest lead time (reduced MTTR) to avoid excess down time or impact on OEE.
· Use the PPE where-ever required to avoid any incident during breakdown attending.
Maintenance Cost & Inventory
· Participate with HOD to prepare the annual mechanical repair & maintenance budget and electrical repair & maintenance cost budget and get mgmt. approval for the maintenance budget.
· Ensure the procurement activities as per approved budget to ensure completion of PM activities in respective month.
· Seek opportunities of improvement for maintenance cost reduction and to do kaizen for same.
· Understand the inventory targets for maintenance spares and do monthly stock taking activity with Store Team and ensure inventory cost of spares is within Target cost and if any excess take action.
· Maintain the SAP consumption on real time as soon as physical consumption of stock to avoid mis-match of system stock vs. physical stock of maintenance spares.
Quality Management System (IMS)
· Participate in MPR/MRM/Internal system audit as per annual plan.
· Ensure the documentation and records updates as per plant quality management system (IATF 16949), safety management system and environment management system and maint. SOP.
· Participate in establishment of safety management system OHSAS 18001 & Environment Management System ISO 14001, along with Plant HR and Maint. function.
· Participate in JH & PM pillar activities in TPM in line with plant manufacturing excellence roadmap.
Quality Control
· Co-ordinate with plant process quality team for defect elimination related to poor equipment condition.
· Work with process quality team to achieve CP/CPK min. 1.33 if it’s deteriorating due to equipment condition.
· Ensure all related critical Q checkpoints in PM check sheet which are critical to quality.
· Validate the sustenance of Poka Yoke build in process/equipment for defect elimination and immediate restore if any gap.
· Submit CAPA to PQA Team related to defects generating due to poor equipment condition.
Utility Management
· Ensure operation and maintenance of the plant utility DG Set/Compressor/STP/Transformers/LT Room/Solar roof top panels to avoid line loss.
· Maintain the reading of energy consumption of different sources – BESCOM/DG Set/solar power, water consumption, air consumption etc.to see pattern of consumption & to see any losses in any area so that to take immediate action.
· Co-ordinate with third parties for AMC execution of Utility as per plan and maintain service reports.
· Seek opportunities of improvement for cost saving and implement the Kaizen.
Support to JH
· Support Production Team members for effective JH execution from JH Step 0 to JH Step 5 i.e Red Tag removal, Kaizen on SOC/HTA, preparation of tentative std., know how manual preparation, 6 Axis Training etc.
· Promote the JH importance in production team members for avoid breakdown due to forced deterioration
Safety Management
· Ensure daily verification of all safety checks, safety Poka Yoke in working condition.
· Continuously promote the process improvements for Safety compliances.
· Ensure use-age of PPE as per norms or SOP.
· Ensure third party verification of equipment for safety audit as per plan.
Others
· Ensure installation & commissioning of new CNC, VMC & Assembly lines (as per protocol – e.g., handover to operations, quality approval, etc)
· Visit vendors during crisis to get fast service work.

Preferable from auto components industries
Experience in manufacturing is must.
