Job Purpose:
Ensure that products or components being produced in Line meet specified quality standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, to achieve productivity and quality performance as per set targets.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
Production Management System
· Achieve Monthly Production Plan.
· Adjust plans to meet daily requirements.
· Allocate operators based on skill matrix and work on multi-skilling.
· Meet annual OEE targets.
· Perform Daily JH or CLITA of Machines.
· Update Tooling History Card as per process control plan.
· Train new operators through OJT.
· Troubleshoot to achieve production and quality targets.
· Independently handle shifts.
· Book production reports in SAP at the end of the shift.
· Lead setup changeover planning with HOD.
Tooling Management
· Prepare monthly tooling procurement plan based on set standards.
· Maintain minimum tooling stock to avoid line loss.
· Coordinate with ME/PE team and tooling suppliers for life shortfall.
· Ensure Tooling consumption within budgeted targets.
Manpower Management
· Prepare monthly manpower plan based on set standards to meet sales plan of the month.
· Co-ordinate with HR Team to fill gaps.
· Allocate shift planning for operators and machines deployment.
· Ensure manpower wage cost within budgeted targets and to take timely action if gaps.
Quality Control
· Ensure inspection being carried out by operators as per process control plan & educate the operators for critical feedback related to inspection.
· Ensure rejection/rework parts proper storage in respective standard bins and location to avoid mix up.
· Achieve Assembly FTR as per set target of the year.
· Support line inspectors for abnormality correction on a real-time basis.
Quality Management System
· Participate and ensure all documentation and records mgmt. as per plant quality management system.
· Participate in process audit/product audit as per annual plan.
· Actively participate for establishment of Safety Management System OHSAS 18001 & Environment Management System ISO 14001, along with Plant HR and maintenance function.
· Participate in TPM (JH & KK Pillar) Activities as per Plant TPM structure requirements, for plant manufacturing excellence journey.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify and implement measures to increase productivity, such as cycle time reduction, automation, Process elimination and workflow improvements.
· Identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes related to cost reduction, tooling cost reduction, consumable cost reduction, safety improvement, ergonomics and implement Kaizen.
· Manpower reduction by low-cost automation.
Safety Management
· Ensure daily verification of all safety checks, safety poka Yoke in working condition.
· Continuously promote the process improvements for safety compliances.
· Ensure usage of PPE as per norms or SOP.
