URGENT REQUIREMENT IT Analyst II Technical Infrastructure (Firewall Support) About the Role Applix is hiring an experienced IT Analyst II Technical Infrastructure (Firewall Support) to support a leading global enterprises firewall environment. In this role, you will provide technical support, consulting, and operational leadership for business-critical firewall services worldwide. You will work on firewall installations, security-rule implementations, troubleshooting, cloud firewall support, network-segmentation initiatives, and infrastructure modernization projects. This position is ideal for a hands-on firewall professional who can work with urgency, navigate complex enterprise environments, and collaborate effectively with global infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day operational support and technical leadership for enterprise firewall services.Implement, modify, review, and troubleshoot firewall rules using Check Point security solutions.Support new firewall installations, upgrades, migrations, and end-of-life replacement initiatives.Assist with factory, office, and network-segmentation projects.Provide firewall consulting for cloud environments and critical enterprise projects.Investigate connectivity issues and identify whether problems originate from firewall rules, routing, network configuration, or application dependencies.Manage firewall-related incidents, service requests, and changes according to established ITIL and change-management processes.Provide in-depth knowledge of firewall processes, technical requirements, risks, and operational dependencies.Participate in projects focused on improving firewall quality, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.Ensure firewall activities comply with organizational IT controls, cybersecurity policies, audit requirements, and technical standards.Collaborate with network engineers, security architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, project managers, and global stakeholders.Work with firewall vendors on technical issues, escalations, product support, and long-term strategy.Maintain clear documentation for firewall configurations, rule changes, troubleshooting activities, procedures, and operational standards.Provide extended global support coverage and assist with urgent, business-critical incidents when required. Required Skills and Experience Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise firewall environments.Practical experience with Check Point firewalls and Check Point security solutions.Experience implementing and troubleshooting firewall rules, policies, objects, NAT configurations, and access-control requirements.Experience supporting firewall installations, upgrades, migrations, or replacement projects.Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, NAT, VPNs, ports, protocols, and network segmentation.Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity and application-access issues.Experience working within structured incident, problem, request, and change-management processes.Understanding of IT controls, security standards, audit requirements, and operational governance.Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to prioritize urgent requests and work effectively in a global enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting cloud firewall or hybrid-cloud network environments.Experience with Check Point management tools, logs, monitoring, policy analysis, and troubleshooting utilities.Familiarity with factory, office, or industrial network-segmentation initiatives.Experience collaborating with global teams and providing support across multiple time zones.Relevant networking, cybersecurity, or Check Point certifications are an advantage.
