About the role
Job Description: You are a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing MS SQL and Postgresql Server environments. Your role involves ensuring database performance, integrity, and security while supporting the development team with change management and performance tuning. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and support MS SQL Server databases across development and production environments - Perform backups, restores, and manage recovery models - Conduct performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools - Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions - Configure and maintain database servers and processes, ensuring system health, availability, and security - Approve developers' change requests for database objects such as tables, procedures, indices, constraints, triggers, and views - Assist developers in performance tuning and query optimization - Independently troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real-time - Automate routine processes, monitor database jobs, and track/document changes - Collaborate with teams to manage database transitions across multiple product lifecycle stages Qualification Required: - Minimum 3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA - Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and query plans - Proficiency in backup/restore strategies and recovery models - Solid understanding of HA/DR setups and replication techniques - Experience working in Windows Server environments - Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques - Ability to work independently and resolve issues quickly and effectively - Excellent communication and collaboration skills Job Description: You are a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing MS SQL and Postgresql Server environments.
