About the role
Role Overview: Atlanta Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with 12 years of experience managing and optimizing MS SQL Server environments. You will be responsible for ensuring database performance, integrity, and security while supporting the development team with change management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and support MS SQL Server databases in both development and production environments. - Perform backups, restores, and manage recovery models. - Conduct performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools. - Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. - Configure and maintain database servers to ensure system health, availability, and security. - Approve developers' change requests for database objects such as tables, procedures, indexes, constraints, triggers, and views. - Assist developers in performance tuning and query optimization. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real-time. - Automate routine processes, monitor database jobs, and track/document changes. - Collaborate with teams to manage database transitions across various product lifecycle stages. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 1+ years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA. - Strong knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and query plans. - Proficiency in backup/restore strategies and recovery models. - Solid understanding of HA/DR setups and replication techniques. - Experience in Windows Server environments. - Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques. - Ability to work independently and resolve issues quickly and effectively. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
