Summary of the Role We are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in Data Engineering, specifically within the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing our data solutions and ensuring the integrity and availability of data within our infrastructure. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, operational knowledge, and an understanding of best practices in data management. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions. Develop and maintain ETL processes for large-scale data ingestion. Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and testing. Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues within the Databricks environment. Utilize best practices for data governance and security. Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members. Required Qualifications Must-Have: Proven experience with 5-10 years in Databricks and Apache Spark. Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques. Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline construction. Solid understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS or Azure. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with data warehousing solutions. Experience in machine learning workflows. Knowledge of additional programming languages (Python/Scala). Exposure to Agile methodologies.
