About the role
Job Summary The BI Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and governing enterprise-wide Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions. This role focuses on creating scalable data architectures, defining BI strategies, ensuring data quality, and enabling business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through effective reporting, dashboards, and analytics platforms. Key Responsibilities BI Strategy & Architecture • Define and implement the organization's BI and analytics roadmap. • Design enterprise BI architecture, including data warehouses, data marts, and semantic models. • Establish data governance, metadata management, and BI best practices. • Develop standards for report development, dashboard design, and data visualization. Data Modeling & Integration • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models. • Architect ETL/ELT frameworks for data integration from multiple source systems. • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and scalability across BI environments. • Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines and warehouse optimization. Reporting & Analytics • Design and oversee development of dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics. • Translate business requirements into analytics solutions. • Optimize BI solutions for performance, usability, and scalability. • Support advanced analytics and AI-driven reporting initiatives. Stakeholder Management • Partner with business leaders to understand reporting and analytical requirements. • Provide guidance to BI developers, data engineers, and analysts. • Present architecture recommendations and BI strategies to senior leadership. • Facilitate user adoption through training and documentation. Governance & Security • Define BI security models and access controls. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies
