Designer (R&D) 3D

We are looking for an experienced 3D Designer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join R&D team of our client. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and designs using SolidWorks, collaborating with engineers and the R&D team, and assisting in the development and testing of prototypes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 3D design software, particularly SolidWorks, and a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, product development, and manufacturing processes. Job Responsibilities: As a 3D Designer in the R&D department, your primary responsibilities will include: 3D Modeling & Design: Utilize SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) to design and develop 3D models of products or components. Create detailed 3D models and assemblies based on technical specifications and engineering requirements. Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOM (Bill of Materials). Collaboration with R&D Team: Work closely with engineers and R&D teams to transform concepts and ideas into functional designs. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to innovative design solutions. Ensure designs are aligned with project goals, timelines, and specifications. Prototyping & Testing: Assist in the creation and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts. Conduct design reviews and adjust designs based on feedback from prototype testing or simulations. Ensure designs meet the required performance, durability, and safety standards. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Make sure that designs are manufacturable and can be efficiently produced. Review design iterations and refine them to optimize product functionality and cost-effectiveness. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to- with the latest 3D design tools, technologies, and trends in the industry. Suggest improvements to existing designs and processes for enhanced efficiency and innovation. Provide technical support for troubleshooting design issues during production and testing phases. Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related fields. Certification or specialization in SolidWorks or any other 3D modeling software is preferred. Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in 3D design, preferably in the R&D field. Strong experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software (such as AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.) for product design and modeling. Experience in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and creating 3D visualizations. Skills: Proficiency in 3D design and modeling techniques. Strong understanding of product development processes and manufacturing techniques. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and project goals. Familiarity with prototyping and testing procedures.
