Posted On: 12th Sept 2022 Role: Lead VMWare Storage Administrator Job ID: Sep08396 Location: Johnson City, TX (Hybrid) Desired Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Required Experience Minimum of 6 years of experience as a VMWare Storage Lead Admin. VMWare and Storage Lead System Administrator with Six years of system engineering and operations experience with Servers, Storage, Databases, Cloud. VMWare including NSX-T for seamless transitions between Data Centers. Pure Storage, NOT NAS. Must Have Pure Storage – experience administering SSD-based enterprise storage devices. Must Have Brocade Storage Fabric interconnects to integrate a shared storage. Must Have Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP functionality. Must Have of enterprise software, i.e., VMWare, Active Directory, LDAP, MS Exchange, Databases SQL, and Oracle, MS Office Suite, MS Exchange, SharePoint, and Visio, project. Must Have OS and networks, i.e., Windows server, iOS, Citrix, TCP/IP, L2/L3. Must Have Knowledge and experience with Cloud technology including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Job Description: Skilled in monitoring and managing performance, establishing and communicating performance expectations and metrics, time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities, anticipating, identifying, analysing, and resolving conflict and problems. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems, develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and deliver relevant and timely results based on organizational requirements. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, listen and understand information verbally and in writing. Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred. Knowledge Dell EMC Isilon Storage – Largely for high-volume, backup, and archiving storage needs. Knowledge Bi-Amps in several large conference rooms with ceiling speakers. Knowledge Crestron A/V equipment in a number of specialized conference rooms across the service territory. Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information. Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and budgeting. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Knowledge of enterprise hardware, i.e., x64 Microsoft Windows servers, storage (NAS), mobile devices, Windows, and Apple PC’s. Knowledge-Cisco Networking – Core Switches, Routers, Firewalls and VPN devices, VoIP networks and integration/Cisco UCS Blade Server Environment. Knowledge of switches, load balancing, firewalls and MS clusters, HA/OR. Knowledge of load balancing integration, design techniques and implementation processes.
