Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to perform advanced structural analyses supporting aerospace vehicle development and sustainment programs. This role is responsible for conducting static, dynamic, and Durability & Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment using both manual calculations and advanced engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities
Perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of metallic and composite aerospace structures.
Analyze airframe structures, mechanical systems, and associated equipment.
Develop and evaluate structural designs to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and certification requirements.
Derive non-flight applied loads and generate internal loads analysis.
Create, extract, and distribute structural loads data using engineering tools and software.
Utilize FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter, and other structural analysis applications.
Support design reviews, technical evaluations, and certification activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
Prioritize multiple assignments and support program schedules and deliverables.
Develop engineering solutions for complex structural issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 10+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience; OR
Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience; OR
PhD in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience.
Experience performing structural analysis of metallic and composite aerospace structures.
Experience with static, dynamic, and durability & damage tolerance (DaDT) analysis.
Experience using FEMAP, NX, Teamcenter, or similar structural analysis tools.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with typically 10+ years of related aerospace structural analysis experience; Master's degree with 8+ years; or PhD with 5+ years of related experience.
